Bottoms Up

How do you pick out your wine? I feel like most people probably select a wine base on what you’re having for dinner. Maybe you have a favorite vineyard that you’ve visited that’s special? Or maybe you pick a wine based solely on price, label, or what you can grab first when the kids are whining in the grocery store after a long day.

Not if you’re married to a stained glass guy. If that’s the case, you only get to drink wine with no writing, numbers, or random symbols on the BOTTOM of the bottle!  Who knew the bottom was so important? If it is free of those pesky serial numbers, we can use it to create amazing effects in our stained glass panels.

Cheers!!

BIG News

You guys have been itching to showcase your favorite teams in stained glass for a while, and we heard you loud and clear!  A little over a year ago we debuted our first University items with our hometown TROY Trojans and were well received!

TROY

But let me tell you, Collegiate Licensing is no joke! They vow to help protect the integrity of their universities.

…and they take their job more seriously than Milton from Office Space.

office_space___milton

The three-phase application process started with, literally, an inch worth of paper work and involved months and months of back and forth design submissions and approvals. All of our hard work finally paid off and we can proudly announce that we have been approved as licensed vendors for The University of Alabama and Auburn University.

We’re OFFICIAL!!!

Alabama

AL3P12CIR          $95.00

Auburn

AU1P12CIR          $95.00

These 12-inch, circle panels are the first of our designs to be approved and we will continue posting more Alabama and Auburn items as the approval process continues.

Give us a call to order your piece today!

TroyFest 2014

We had such a wonderful time at TroyFest this year! Since we are from Troy, this is a show that is clearly near and dear to our hearts and we’re thankful to have been a part of it for so many years.

SONY DSC

Oh, and did you know that we’re more than just stained glass?

That’s right! We also make our own CANDY!

Peanut brittle! Divinity! Chocolate fudge! Peanut butter fudge!

AND…

SONY DSC

…our oh, so famous Half Day suckers! (don’t worry, they also come in sugar free!)

SONY DSC

This candy has been making folks drool for over 40 years and is sold year-round in our store.

We will even do special occasion/gift trays on order!

SONY DSC

We were also excited to showcase some of our licensed TROY University pieces at TroyFest. We are so proud to be officially licensed through the University and are excited to have some new 2014 pieces for all the Trojan fans and alumni out there. We now have hanging panels, standing swords and T’s, sun catchers, ornaments and clocks!

SONY DSC

Our hanging panels come in several different shapes and sizes and feature various TROY logos. Don’t forget that we can customize a design to make a unique piece just for you! If the large panels don’t suit your fancy, then these smaller etched glass pieces can be hung as sun catchers or make great ornaments.

We are also honored to have the Artists’ Party named after our very own Charles Adams!

This is a fantastic show that really treats its artists well! The City of Troy, Pike County Chamber, and the  Troy Arts Council,  as well as the gracious sponsors and volunteers really go the extra mile to make this one of the finest shows in the state. If you have never been to TroyFest, we invite you to mark your calendars for the last weekend in April every year. We’ll see ya there!

Beach House Window

We had such a great time working with Pat McGrogan on this custom window for their home in Florida.

It is hard to believe that the original idea began as a rough sketch on a napkin and was then transformed into a 55″x19″ piece for this window.

If you have an idea for something you would like in your home, don’t be afraid to doodle out your ideas and send them to us. We can take your vision and turn it into a beautiful work of glass art.

Most of all we loved having everyone come to the store and visit. This isn’t just a business having a sale. It is our family tradition in which we are able to welcome you into our ‘home’ and thank you for allowing us the opportunity to do what we love for all these years.

Corner Pieces

Sometimes you have a space in your home just asking to be dressed up with stained glass. Perhaps a counter top opening between the kitchen and living area or even a cased entryway between rooms. You may not necessarily want to block the view or conversation flow between these rooms, so what exactly would be a good fit?

Check out our custom corner pieces.  These corner pieces are hung just inside the cased opening to create a unique boarder.  Here is an example of two pairs hanging in our  booth at the Gatlinburg Craftsman’s Fair.
